Poetry Bio

Rachel Rosenberg: Poet! Lawyer! Super Hero? When witnessed live, Rachel is an animated poet who breathes life into her words to make them dance before the viewers’ eyes. And her voice: liquid excitement, tinted with the sweet burn of quality whiskey and a hint of Lauren Bacall.

Her poems are humorous, introspective, self-depreciating and sexy.... often at the same time. She will even make you weep - as you laugh. She will cause you to desire her as sister, best friend, lover, or rabbi....

Rachel has a quirky way of seeing the word and a marvelous way of stringing words and worlds together. To read or hear Rachel’s poems is to take up residency in her mind - which is a wild and wonderful place.

At evenings end, you might want to take her home. Feel free to feed her, but she is not meant for captivity and is at her best when roaming free, experiencing the world and translating it into poetry.

Rachel’s work has appeared in online and print publications and in three chapbooks: Piecemeal Poetry, Sugar & Spice & Everything Imprecise, and PULP.
