I've decided to do 30/30 this year, but I don't want to post anything creative to facebook; I don't want them to own my work. Thus, my photos are here (one of the reasons), and so this poetry project will be too. For those of you who don't know, 30/30 is a challenge requiring the poet to write and post at least one poem a day for the whole month of September. Everything I post here (and everywhere on this site) is my own original work and is not to be stolen, used, or copied without my permission. You know, copyright. I'm a law student, don't mess with me. Here we go!
Read The Left-Out Book with me;
There are chapters on shame and humiliation,
on disappointment and fear.
There are footnotes on jealousy and discussions on loneliness.
There are tables cataloging forms of boredom,
diagrams on being crushed,
and 200 types of longing indexed carefully and precisely
like the author
had some time on her hands.
